About the Theater:
BareBones Theatre Group is Charlotte's most innovative and entertaining theater company. Our productions are small, but our artistry is big! We choose our scripts carefully, cast great local actors and achieve the highest production values possible on a limited budget. We've grown our audience and our reputation with recent shows like FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS, ORANGE FLOWER WATER and CRAZYFACE.
Our productions and artists have been recognized with multiple MTA and Creative Loafing theater awards. We've made a commitment to local artists, helping to nurture new talent, incubate the work of others, and enable shows that reflect women's authentic experiences and offer challenging, diverse or complicated viewpoints get to the stage. We compensate our actors, designers, directors and technical support staff, but also rely on behind-the-scenes volunteer help. Part of our mission is to produce and present inventive, imaginative and idiosyncratic shows in smaller venues with fewer than 200 seats.
